tanaka’s family comes from fujikawaguchiko. he grew up with mt. fuji steps away from his house. and if there is one thing tanaka is not afraid to admit is: “mt. fuji is much nicer to look at— then to actually hike it.”
when he was 20, he moved to tokyo with his girlfriend (now wife) honoka.
she always dreamed of pursuing an acting career— so he followed her and her dreams. while she is currently an understudy for a minor role in the japanese version of the lion king, tanaka is trying to become a professional photographer. to make ends meet, he does weddings on the weekends and family albums at a studio located near the tokyo tower— where he often takes photos of tourists with the famous landmark in the background for one thousand yen a piece.
this weekend he will visit his family by the lake and hopes he can spend his first free saturday in weeks at fuji Q and its classic rollercoasters.
