tonight haru ordered the large bowl.

ramen with the thick pork salty broth, two soft boiled eggs, strips of very tender pork belly, enoki mushrooms and chopped spring onions on top. this is his go to ramen shop after a night out drinking with his work colleagues.

but tonight there was also karaoke.

haru hates karaoke.

but his boss loves it.

“living on a prayer” by bon jovi is his song. he knows the lyrics by heart and whenever he is dragged to a night of singing, he does his best jon bon jovi impression. his boss was (very) impressed with his over the top performance— but not so much— with the extra money they had to pay for breaking the monitor with the microphone— when haru got too excited during the chorus— and threw it into the ‘imaginary crowd’.

a beer.

haru also ordered a beer to go with the ramen.
