she has just left her audition for the main role in a netflix series set in tokyo during the first days after the pandemic was formally announced.


in her role (if she gets it), she will play the younger version of the current mayor of tokyo.



the producers have interviewed hundreds of people to get a proper and accurate profile of yuriko koike, the mayor.
but they are still trying to get the mayor on record to tell her version of the story.


ichika never really planned to be an actress.

but, while she was in-between jobs, a friend recommended her to a TV show in Osaka.

she got the part-- and soon-- she was on the cover of a national magazine.

the director of the netflix series said that it's between her and someone else.
on the positive side, he mentioned to her right after the audition— that she was the only one that was able to master the mayor's speech pattern to perfection.



she will find out tomorrow if she got the part or not.
she will also get her second vaccine shot tomorrow afternoon.

right now she is running to yet another audition.
this one for a candy commercial.
