gotanda station, 7:28 am.
every morning, that’s when daichi arrives at his destination.
for the last twenty seven years.
like clockwork.
he never missed a single day.
never called in sick.
not even when he was sick.
the three months that he was told that he had to work from home sent him into a near depression.
he lost weight. couldn’t sleep. and binge watched the news on tv around the clock— hoping for the day a cure would be announced— so he could once again restart his routine.
